Live from New York, It’s TEDx Manhattan
If there’s any idea worth spreading, it’s “Changing the Way We Eat.” This is the title of TEDx Manhattan, now in its fourth year. It gathers national food leaders to spark conversation about our food system through engaging TED-style talks.
So why does Slow Food Portland continue to host this live viewing?
People, partnerships, passion, purpose
The quality, depth and variety of the live webcast presentations are why we’re hosting another viewing party this year on March 1. It gives Slow Food Portland and the community another opportunity to explore and learn about current food issues, and to discuss those issues together in a setting that is informal and free.
We believe in the power of collective energy to change our food system. TEDx Manhattan brings together some of the most knowledgable speakers, from farmers to activists to chefs to social entrepreneurs. We all have a common concern about the food system, yet we each have a specific area of interest or passion. Locate and expand on your place in this vast web.
This event also gives us a chance to build on partnerships collaborative with other organizations and reach out to new audiences. We’re partnering once again with the Institute for Sustainable Solutions at Portland State University. And the student-led Tea with TED group will facilitate a discussion during a break.
See you at the movies!
