Bryant Terry: Activist, Chef, Author

Eco-chef, food activist and author Bryant Terry returns to Portland to give us a healthy serving of vegan soul food. Known for his simple, creative and vegan dishes, Terry just released a new cookbook, Afro-Vegan: Farm-Fresh African, Caribbean, and Southern Flavors Remixed.
Join Slow Food Portland and Celebration Tabernacle in welcoming Bryant as he presents an evening filled with cooking demonstrations and his outlook on food, culture, and health. Bryant brings the history of these cultural-rich recipes alive and adds his own twist to make them delicious and healthy!
Special tastings for the evening will be created Chef Bradley and his crew at Po’shines. Chef Bradley and Bryant have been collaborating on the tastings to bring the best of seasonal and local sourced ingredients to the event.
Afro Vegan will be available for purchase—just in time to use those recipes with our abundance of fresh produce throughout the summer!
