Global to Local: Slow Food USA Reception

Join Slow Food for an engaging reception that takes us on a tour of the movement from the global to the local. Be a part of this movement to create an alternative to the industrial food system!

- New Slow Food USA Executive Director Richard McCarthy
- Slow Food USA Board
- Slow Food Portland Steering Committee
- Local Terra Madre chefs and farmers
This event will be a a fun and informative gathering at Old Salt Marketplace and Good Keuken. Ben Meyer, a 2010 Terra Madre delegate, will also showcase his new restaurant and community gathering place—a true example Slow Food’s philosophy.
What kind of communities we can help create—communities where everyone has access to good, clean and fair food? Add your voice to establish policies that enable small, diversified farms to thrive, workers to earn fair wages, and where we take care of the soil, water, and air for future generations. Appetizers and beverages served, of course!
