TEDxManhattan “Changing the Way We Eat”

This is the third year Slow Food Portland will host TEDxManhattan “Changing the Way We Eat” — a rich presentation exploring the state of our food system and our progress toward sustainability. We are partnering with the Institute for Sustainable Solutions at Portland State University to present this live webcast from New York City. The event has three parts, yet due to the time difference we will only be airing parts 2 and 3.

Speakers with various backgrounds in food and farming share their insights and expertise — some of the leading thinkers of our time, as well as those who have fostered innovative and far-reaching food-focused programs.

This format invites dialogue between audience members and builds on ideas both from TEDx speakers and within our local community.

A highlight of the event is the ample time given for attendees to meet each other and look for new synergies and new ideas to help bolster the sustainable food movement.
