2023 - Year in Review
Looking back we had a good year in 2023!
We continued to financially support the Market Scouts youth education program at the Lents International Farmers Market with a $2000 contribution.
Thanks to Cookshop, where we hold our Conviviums. Cookshop offers a range of delicious cooking classes for adults and youth, as well as hosting a variety of community events.
BIG thanks to Aviation Gin for the Negroni Week fundraiser complete with distillery tours and Negroni flight tastings that resulted in raising $2110 for Slow Food Portland!
Following is a recap of our activities in 2023
We hosted the 2023 Oregon Legislative Session Agriculture Policy Primer Convivium in partnership with Friends of Family Farmers (FoFF).
We tabled at the Pacific Northwest CSA Coalition’s Share Fair.
We hosted the Indigenous Salmon Fishing Convivium featuring Native Candy, a
Native-owned business dedicated to traditional harvesting practices and providing the local community direct access to tribally caught wild salmon.We hosted a Cooking Demo Convivium featuring Elsy Dinvil, chef and owner of Creole Me Up.
We tabled at the Eat Drink Washington County Farmer + Chef Connection event.
We hosted the Getting to Know Our Agricultural Working Lands Convivium with Aaron Nichols, full-time farmer at Stoneboat Farm, and Sam Diaz, Executive Director of 1000 Friends of Oregon.
We gave a presentation in the IMAX theater & tabled at the OMSI After Dark Pickle It event.
We organized a Farm Tour of The Growers Grange, a small farm in Corbett, Oregon, run by Bianca Nati and Ethan Riddle.
We hosted the Book Launch for The Ark of Taste: Delicious and Distinctive Foods that Define the United States with local author Giselle Kennedy Lord.
We hosted our Annual Community Potluck.
We tabled at the Great Grains event.

We enthused about beans at How Have You BEAN? the 2nd annual celebration of legumes in partnership with La Merenda Farm and Wellspent Market.
We hosted the Big Wild Spirits Vermouth Tasting Convivium in December.
