We're Joining Growing Gardens Spring Dig-In! And You Can Help.

Slow Food’s vision of “good, clean and fair food for all” is the catalyst for our involvement in Growing Gardens Spring Dig-In! on April 21st.  This annual “garden-a-thon” event brings community teams together to build gardens for families in our community.  The gardens are only the beginning of fresh food access for these families as they develop the knowledge, skills and means to provide garden produce for themselves, friends and neighbors. Growing Gardens Home Garden program provides resources, materials and mentorship for three years to ensure long-term success.

Yet we still need your help! Each team has a goal to raise $1,000 to support the Home Garden program and the gardens we build on April 21st. We invite you to help plant the seeds of fresh foods with a donation in the name of the Slow Food Portland Snails! All contributions, no matter the amount, are important and appreciated.
