Let’s Build a Team to Build a Garden! 

Help Growing Gardens create a new garden for a family in our community. Their program, Home Gardens, provides fresh food access by supplying resources, education and mentorship for families to grow food right outside their door.

A three-year support program includes seeds, plants, compost bins, tools, and education to ensure success and good food for the family, as well as their friends and neighbors.

Details:

When: April 21st, 10 am to 2 pm
Where: SE Portland Area

We’ll be joining other teams for a “garden-a-thon” to celebrate Earth Day and support good, clean and fair food for all! 

Growing Gardens provides tools, soil and all supplies for the day.

We will meet in a SE Portland park to pick up materials, meet our team captain who will be directing the building, and then go to our assigned location. We will work with the family receiving the new garden to creating the garden designed for their needs and space.  

The day ends back at the park with food, drink and fun for all.
